Reading Arthur Machen

Arthur Machen was one of Lou's favorite authors, and her painting above was
inspired by him.

Forest, this one is my favorite of what you've posted so far... she loves strange angles, and this one is wonderful.

and I really love the slightly psychotic mask over the gateway... gives a feeling of anxiety to it all which feeds off the slightly devilish look on the man's face...

very cool....

This piece is incredibly beautiful and inspiring!

The effect of the light on the sculpted face is breathtaking, and an amazing contrast to the glimpse of sunlight accompanying the gentleman passing through the gate.

Just enchanting. I love it.

Just discovered your site today and have to say I LOVE this rendering of Arthur Machen. Superb! Your mother was a talented woman. Your work is amazing too, my current favourites being the Dark Harpy, Mr Faun and your awe-inspiring Vasilisa/Baba Yaga.

Salut!
